Find the right wheel fastener

Search by vehicle brand or directly by thread & seat type.

Colour

In brief: wrench size (SW / Schlüsselweite)

The SW only tells you the size of the bolt head – i.e. which socket you need. It changes nothing about the thread or safety.

  • SW17 – the standard. Fits the vast majority of wheels.
  • SW19 – some European vehicles.
  • SW21 – often Asian vehicles.
Just because your original is e.g. SW21 doesn’t mean SW17 won’t fit – usually the slimmer head fits just as well. What matters: thread, seat type and length – not the SW.

In brief: length & open/closed

Wheel nuts screw onto the threaded studs of your vehicle – that’s why length matters.

  • Closed (cap nut): closed at the front, protects the stud, clean look. ~32 mm is enough on most cars.
  • Open (through nut): open at the back so the stud can pass through. For long studs – vans, caravans, motorhomes or with wheel spacers.
Rule of thumb: if the stud sticks out far → a longer or open nut.
⚠️ Note: specifications & returns

Vehicle manufacturers can change wheel-bolt specifications at any time without notice – especially on new models or facelifts. Our database is based on known factory specifications but cannot be kept complete at all times. When in doubt, always check the vehicle documentation or ask your tyre specialist. Orders are placed at your own responsibility.

Returns: returns are only possible by shipping the item back – return postage is at your own cost. For incorrect orders we refund 50 % of the item value due to the handling effort.

Why is the right wheel fastener so important?

The wrong thread, seat type or length can lead to wheel loss – one of the most dangerous vehicle failures. Pitch and seat type must match the vehicle and the wheel exactly.

  • Conical, ball and flat seats are not compatible
  • M14×1.5 and M14×1.25 are NOT interchangeable
  • Shank length must match the thread engagement depth
  • Black variants for sport and tuning wheels
  • 111 items – all in stock, delivered in 1–2 days

Frequently asked questions

Which wheel bolts do I need for BMW?
BMW and MINI use M12×1.5 bolts with a ball seat (R12 or R13), SW-17. Conical bolts as on VW do not fit – the seat type is incompatible!
Which bolts for VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda?
The entire VAG group uses M14×1.5 bolts with a 60° conical seat, SW-17. Common lengths: L-28 to L-55 mm.
What is the difference between M14×1.5 and M14×1.25?
Only the pitch differs – but the bolts are NOT compatible. M14×1.5 for VW/Mercedes/Ford, M14×1.25 for Toyota/Lexus/Suzuki. The wrong pitch damages the thread.
Do I need longer bolts for wheel spacers?
Yes. For 5–20 mm spacers you need bolts 10–15 mm longer. We offer lengths from L-21 to L-60 mm.
What is the difference between a wheel bolt and a wheel nut?
Wheel bolts screw into threaded holes in the hub (BMW, VW, Mercedes). Wheel nuts screw onto fixed studs (Renault, Toyota, Jeep). Not compatible!
Do you deliver throughout Switzerland?
Yes, to all 26 cantons. Delivery 1–2 working days. Shipping from CHF 5.90, free from CHF 90.–.
